Although this application features a number of innovations – including backlit graphics out of a metallic background – the chief task was for ADS to meet the huge logistical challenges of a very high production volume product, with a very short product development period, and an even shorter product life cycle.

Developed in less than a year, ramped to 300,000 pieces per week using ten 4-cavity injection molds, and wrapping the whole production volume up in eight months was a very different challenge compared to the company’s more traditional automotive business.
